To understand what time your game will be you need to understand what we do regarding Age  Groups.
Age
We don't have age groups.

• Summer competitions have far fewer teams than the winter competition.
• With fewer team, it is not possible to have groups of teams that are both the same age and same ability.
• Some summer competitions retain age groups and, as a result, have both "A" and "D" teams  in the same divisions. The consequence is results like 13-nil
• Spring Soccer does not have age groups, we group by ability, Strong U8 might play weak U9 etc, It is a continuum/spectrum.
• With no age groups, there is no general requirement about ages of players in teams.
• Of course, we would not allow U5 to play in an U10 team so we issue a guideline that the difference between the youngest and oldest player in any team should not be more than 18 months. This is a guideline and we do vary it.

Times

• Weakest (usually youngest) are assigned the earliest time slots.
• Teams are put into divisions of teams of similar ability.
• The age range between teams will be no greater than 18 months based on the average age of the team.
• The average age of team will be calculated by year and month so, for example, a U11 team with an average age in January can be placed in a division with U9 team with average age in December (13 months apart)
• Girls teams can have a greater age difference, for example U12 girls with an average age in January can be placed in a division with U10 boys with an average age in January (24 months).
• At each ground we number the fields. Half the fields will kick-off at the quarter hour and the other at the half hour. This means that not everyone is coming and going at the same time, In effect, when fields 1-4 are kicking-off, fields 5-8 are calling half time.

When Will You Play

When you play will depend on the strength of your team and that of others. As a guide, here is a table showing the ages, gender and times teams played at each competition in the 2023/24 seaon. Some examples,
- on Tuesday reading down the 6pm column the division consisted of 10 teams ...2 x mixed U08 + 4 x Boys U07 + 4 x Boys U08.
- on Tuesday reading across the U10 Girls there were 6 teams with 2 playing at 5:30 and 4 playing at 5:45
